South Field Lambs

The heaviest ewe lambs from the fall 2018 lambing are rotating around in three sections of the south field where we planted oats last fall.   The oats growth seems to be sufficient, along with some free choice hay, so we don't need supplemental grain.  This saves some expense.

The fence along the south field is leaky for dogs and eventually I need to get that shorn up.  Anneika was in with the sheep this morning.   Often she stays put where she belongs.  Sometimes, I need to go retrieve her from Ed's yard.  He claims she is not a problem, but it is an annoyance.  She stays put in the other two sections.

Along this woods edge the mulcher last summer cleared back the encroaching trees and brush.  The sheep enjoy thatarea as a lounging spot.
